Resources for FluteFling and other workshops 2012-13
An archive for the various recordings and written music that supports the FluteFling (formerly Fun Flute) traditional flute and whistle classes and workshops for 2012-13.
This also serves as an archive of material that I have taught over the years in various settings, including Scots Music Group whistle and Portobello Music School traditional whistle classes.
The resources have for many years lived over on The Flow, my website about traditional Irish flute playing but my resources for teaching traditional flute and whistle are in the process of being moved to this site.
About the files
The tunes are notated in ABC format and converted to PDF for ease of printing. ABC format is useful for printing, sharing and playing back the music. To find out how to do that, there is extensive tuition and app information at the ABC Notation home page.
My recordings of the music can be downloaded from this page of you can go to Soundcloud, were these are hosted. I generally play these at a slow and then more natural tempo. Check the main Resources page for various archive recordings.
